Default DeepDish Quiche Pizza

The fat content is high but if you just HAVE to have some pizza this is a much better substitute. You could probably lighten it up by using low fat cream cheese, low fat parmesian and low fat mozzarella. Also I doubt any of us could eat a full serving, so you can also take that in account.

DeepDish Quiche Pizza
Susan Maria's Before & After Help (Powered by Invision Power Board)

10 servings

Ingredients:
4 ounces lowfat cream cheese
Three eggs
1/4 cup reduced fat parmesan cheese
1/3 cup heavy cream
1/2 teaspoon oregano
2 cups shredded lowfat mozzarella
1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
1/4 cup low sugar or sugar free pizza sauce
1 cup shredded low fat mozzarella
pizza toppings of your choosing (green pepper, onion, black olives and mushrooms)

Preparation Method:

1) Beat cream cheese and eggs until smooth. Add cream, parmesan and spice. Spray 13 x 9-inch baking pan with nonstick cooking spray.
2) Put 2-cups pizza cheese in dish and pour egg mixture over. "Squish" around to mix. Bake at 375-degrees for 30-40 minutes until well browned.
3) Remove from oven and cool for about 5 min. Spread on pizza sauce, sprinkle on mozzarella, and layer with toppings.
4) Bake about ten minutes in 375-degree oven until the toppings are bubbly and brown.

Stats:

This is for 10 servings...using regular cream cheese and full-fat cheeses.

Per Serving: 195 Cal; 15 g Protein; 14 g Tot Fat; 3 g Carb; 0 g Fiber; 1 g Sugar; 308 mg Sodium

yeah, this isn't something that would be the best if you are early out. I haven't made it but would definitely lighten it up a bit with low fat ingredients. Also if this makes 4 servings they would be huge!! I bet I could even get 8 servings out of this which would split the nutritional stats in half.

LOL I was just looking at this.. and thinking.. that is like cutting an ENTIRE cake into 4 pieces! HOLY cow.. big servings! But then I was looking at the amount of ingredients... and I'm betting its kind of flattish? Do they make fat free heavy cream? *laughs*.. that kind of defeats the purpose..

*LOL* I've never seen fat free heavy cream.

I have seen fat free half and half. I almost wonder if that would work in this recipe. I may have to do a little bit of experimenting with this recipe and see what I can do with it. I also wonder if you can use egg substitute instead of the 3 eggs for this which will lighten it up even more.

I'm going to try it like it is, I don't have a problem with fat content, and probably would have to cut it into 32 pieces to eat it anyway. But I thank you for another alternative for me to eat. Janie

Let me know how it turns out, Janie! I do so-so with fat. A bit of extra fat and I'm ok but too much? Well my pouch just doesn't go for it. I know I got really sick last time I tried a small piece of pepperoni pizza.
