This made me do an outloud, "WHAT?!?!" in the middle of class while everyone else was silent lol. Someone please say it isn't so. I have a salad(basically romaine lettuce with grilled chicken most of the time but not always) basically everyday and I've been doing so for a while now. Is there any truth to this statement?

I'm not sure where in the world you heard that but let me assure you it isn't true. The truth is we really can't over stretch our pouches because of the way they are made. They are made from the less stretchy wall of our stomach. What you can stretch is the connection between your pouch and your intestines but not really your pouch. BUT your pouch will get some bigger over time because it is a muscle and with use your muscles grow.

Feel free to keep enjoying your salads. I eat loads of salad and my nutritionist who deals primarily with wls patients says they are a great thing for me to be eating.
