Default Sweet Fried Bananas with Cream Cheese Frosting

I know these are high in sugar but it is natural sugar from the bananas. Some people dump on bananas so be careful with eating these, if you do. I don't, so I thought I would share. I haven't tried these yet but they sound great! To cut down on the sugar and calories you could share this with someone.

Sweet Fried Bananas with Cream Cheese Frosting

(Entire recipe: 200 calories, 1g fat, 160mg sodium, 52g carbs, 11g fiber, 19g sugars, 5g protein = 3 Points)

These are so good, you may actually cry when you bite into one!

Ingredients:

1 large banana

1/4 cup Fiber One cereal

1/8 tsp. cinnamon

pinch of salt

2 tbsp. SPLENDA, Granular

3 tbsp. Cool Whip Free

1 tbsp. fat-free cream cheese; softened

Directions:

To create the cream cheese frosting, stir to combine cream cheese, Cool Whip and 1 tbsp. Splenda until smooth. Refrigerate. In a food processor or blender, combine Fiber One cereal, cinnamon, salt and 1 tbsp. Splenda, and blend until a breadcrumb-like consistency is achieved. Cut banana in half widthwise and then lengthwise (so you have 4 pieces). Spray banana pieces (both sides) with nonstick cooking spray. Roll banana pieces in the breadcrumb mixture, making sure to cover them entirely. Place bananas in a pan sprayed with nonstick spray, and cook at medium heat for approximately two and a half minutes per side, or until crispy. Serve with chilled cream cheese frosting.

OMG!! You mean there's hope for dessert in my future!? These sound so yummy and Lee LOVES banana desserts! I'm definitely going to make these for us after I advance enough to see if I dump on bananas. Heck, if I dump on bananas, I'll just have the cream cheese frosting!

There is most certainly dessert after wls, Rene!! *L* This one sounded so good to me, I may just run out and buy the few ingredients I don't have in the house and try it. I have another great sounding desert recipe that I will post too.
