  1. Struggling

Thank you all for the support. I'm going to go freeze a protein shake now
  2. Struggling

Wow, 4 weeks of liquids? That is hard! I guess I should consider myself lucky mine has only been 1 and 1/2 weeks. I go to my first post op tomorrow and I think they allow a few soft foods after that like yogurt, cottage cheese (yuk), puddings, etc. Hopefully...
  3. I'm 6 days post op and I'm really struggling with the liquid diet. Logically I know why this is necessary but it is so hard and all I keep thinking is that this is cruel and unusual punishment. I am so emotional and feel very weak. I've been doing really good with getting my fluids in but geez, this is horrible! My poor husband feels like he has to hide to eat something and I am not able to cook for him, I just couldn't stand to see food and not be able to eat. I miss food.
  4. SURGERY IN AM

    Good luck to you!
  5. On the bench

Thank you! I will try to have a shake in the morning and one at night, with fluids in between. The shakes make me feel like I'm going to pop so I've only managed one a day with my other fluids. I have my one week follow up on Wednesday so we shall see how I'm doing. The book cinwa sent was awesome too ! Thanks again
  6. On the bench

    Oh thank you so much!
  7. On the bench

Does anyone know if I can have Premier Protein shake and maybe some cream soup 4 days post op? My paperwork doesn't say. I'm confused. I've been doing pretty good with my fluids, got 41 oz in yesterday. Having a bit of buyers remorse today, but I'm trying to stay positive
  8. On the bench

Mine was in the late afternoon too. It's a struggle with the fluids, but I am trying.
  9. Stressed!

    Thank you!
  10. Stressed!

Thank you. She is doing better, not out of the woods yet, but she's improving! I went to see her before my surgery and she actually encouraged me to proceed.
  11. Stressed!

My friend is doing better. She is still in the hospital and has a leak that won't heal. They are giving it a few more days and if it doesn't heal then they will have to do some other surgery (can't remember what it's called) to bypass the stomach. She has to do physical therapy so she won't get to come home for awhile. But, she is improving and out of ICU! For that I am grateful
  12. On the bench

Yep, they sent me home yesterday. I had a rough nite last night, but I'm a bit better today. Those dry heaves suck with stitches, just had them last nite.
  13. Stressed!

Yes, I had my surgery yesterday. Minimal pain with the painkillers. Some gas pain, but I’m walking it off. It hasn’t been too bad. I’m officially on the Losers Bench !!
  14. Hello, I had my surgery yesterday. Everything went good. Having some oxygen issues, minimal pain at incisions, some gas pain. Should be going home today ☺️
