  1. Muscle definition

I am 6 months post-op and down 100lbs. Because of our calorie restriction has any long termers been able to build up their muscles? Not as dramatic as bodybuilders but normal muscles - a six pack, biceps/tricep/chest definition.

  3. I weigh in on Mondays as well. Good luck to you. Glad to hear you're on the road to recovery! Also know that the pain DOES go away.
  4. My wife made me do it...

Well you're only a month out. It took time for me to build up to this. At a month out I was focused on what I was eating. Getting my protein, vitamins and water in. I was very strict with my diet and increased activity as tolerated. Listen to your body. It knows best
  5. When to tell work?

What I did was throw out the fact that I could potentially need "gall bladder" surgery the recovery is similar and the sudden "weight loss" is common.
  6. My wife made me do it...

In the beginning I worked out 5 or 6 times a week but it was mainly walking and jogging. I really didn't time it, just did whatever I could do without knee pain. Now it's anything to keep it different, insanity, p90x, swimming, push-ups sit ups chasing my wife and kids around the house.

Outstanding!!! How's the journey been for you guys?
  8. I had surgery Mar 1, 2013 and am down 100lbs as of Monday. My wife, Tina2017, has encouraged me to sign up. She loves this site!
