  1. I'm having my glucose test in a couple weeks. I'm dreading it. I'm about 2 yrs 4 mos out and I still cannot handle sweet stuff. I am certain that I'll be sick for hours after the test. My OB said that if I fail my 1 hour, we'll just treat me having gestational diabetes and monitor it. Also, to help with the dumping, I'm bringing a turkey pita. Loading up on protein seems to really help me when I've had too many sweets.
  2. I've noticed mild rosacea too. I've had beautiful skin since my surgery as far as acne is concerned but my cheeks get a little red at times.
  3. Congratulations!
  4. I haven't been on in so long, I had to check the pregnancy section to see if you had your baby...and you did! She is beautiful! Congratulations!
  5. Although I've been pretty stable with my weight for a very long time, hanging out at between 150-155, size 8-10, I got out of the shower this morning to find there weren't big towels in the cabinet. I grabbed what I used to call a small towel, although it's a normal bath towel, and I wrapped it around, no problem, it closed, to my surprise. I know I'm thin, my clothes tags say I am, but a year and a half later, I'm still pretty wowed.
  6. Awww...congratulations! She's absolutely beautiful.
  7. Yah...I was certain I was going to get to like 120 but I don't think I'm going to make it there. I've been hanging out at 155 for the last several months and I'm really happy with my body. I don't care if I lose anymore weight. I'm really just working on maintenance now.
  8. My weightloss has been very slow over the last couple months and I've been wearing a size 10 for about 4 months now. To be honest, I'm really happy here. My middle is bigger than my legs and upper body, but that's because I still have a belly that unfortunately I don't think will come off without medical intervention. I always wanted to be a size 10, but since my goal weigh is to get to 149 (normal) and then to 140, I should probably make it to an 8. Then I'll be done.
  9. Totally normal. I had it too. I was so upset thinking I went through all that hell and stopped losing just a couple weeks out. Be patient, it'll start again.
  10. Happy Surgiversary, my friend...a day late of course.
  11. At this very moment, I was being wheeled into surgery prep. Today, I'm down 112 lbs from 269 to 157, a size 22 to a 10. For the most part, I'm happy with my decision although I have my days where I still wonder what the hell I did to my body. It's a work in progress I guess. Thank you all for helping me so much over the last year.
  12. I can honestly say that I was good on Christmas Day. I ate a little bit of the Christmas Crack that I made, but it made my stomach hurt A LOT so I won't do that again anytime soon. I've been eating a lot of fruit too.
  13. Hey...we're coming on our surgiversary...can you believe it's been a year already??
  14. I'm coming up on my 1 year anniversary and I'm down 111 lbs, from a size 22 to a 10. To be honest, over this past year, I'm not sure how I could have failed. I didn't always follow the rules and my body let me know it very quickly. My personal opinion...if you're still thinking you'll fail...you're not quite ready to take this step. It's a HUGE commitment...not just a quick fix.
  15. Sherry...yay for the little girl. I have two girls and they are just so much fun.
