Does you Doc. have you on any anti acid pills? My Doc. has me on Pevicid twice a day for the first 3 months. He told me they try to keep the the stomach very calm for the first 3 months or so. Hope you feel better.
You know I was driving in the car with my husband the other day, looking out the window when I thought to myself "I can't believe you actually went thur with this surgrey" I had thought about for long time then I would say no come on you don't have enough courage to go thru with this! But I did and I am so proud of myself I'm going on 2 1\2 months and I have my moments, but would not change a thing, This has been one of the toughest things that I have ever done even tougher then quiting smoking around 14 years ago. Both things I never thought I would be able to do but guess what I did! And I did it for ME, I did it so with the grace of God I will be around when my gradbabies come along. So your Mom is your Mom and as long as you are doing this for you when everthing is said and done, your Mom will be proud of you. But most importantly you will be proud of yourself! Good luck in all that you do and it is OK for you to let yourself be #1 this time
Good for you, my starting weight was 363 I had to lost 33 pounds before my surgrey. I had my surgrey on Dec. 8th. My weight is 278 and I due feel so much better. I sometimes feel sorry for myself "I was a emotional eater". Those days are gone believe me if you think your going to over eat you pay the price so you teach yourself to deal with your problems in a whole new way! You will be surprised you might inspire your girlfriend into getting healthy too. So good luck and I hope you all the best.
Thanks I am almost 6 weeks and I appreciate being able to come to this site and read the blogs it has helped. I have my ups and downs with the question did I do the right thing by getting this operation. So when I read some of the blogs that reflect how I am feeling or what I can look forward to it makes me feel better about my decision.
