  1. Holiday Traveling Help

I am traveling home to Arizona this weekend for Christmas. I need advice to get me through the flight and airport as well as tips for getting through the holiday. I am 1 month out, I am cleared to eat pretty much anything. I do try my best to eat lots of protein, but I would like some advice from the experts. So any recommendations would be welcomed!!!
  2. 3Rd Weeks Post Op And Starving!

Sorry I posted with my phone so please ignore my spelling errors.
  3. I am 3 weeks post op. I had a successful complication free surgery. I have stuck to the diet pretty well. I am on puree foods for weeks 3 and 4. I have eaten a few regular foods a string cheese a bite of a cookie.I chewed really well and had no problems. My issue is I'm always hungry!!! I don't get the full sensation. I can drink tons of water at one time. Its that bad can it stretch my pouch? I'm so upset. All this work pre op and thousands in hospital bills and I feel no different. Please give me your thoughts and advice! I'm down 40lbs from pre op diet. So 40lbs in about 5 weeks.

  6. Gas X Dumping

Ok good! I totally need the gas x but I just wanted to make sure it was ok. Whew big relief! Thanks swizzly and bugdocmom
  7. Got Approved Today!

Yay!!!! Congrats! Getting approved is such a great feeling. My advice...stick to your pre op diet and prepare yourself mentally for the huge change! Thats been the hardest part for me so far and I'm a 1 week post op. I hated the pre op diet and thought I was going to die (yes I'm dramatic). Now that its behind me I wouldn't bfr ok right now if I didn't hasn't a pre op diet because it prepares you mentally more than anything else. Good luck! I will keep you in my thoughts and prayers.
  8. Gas X Dumping

I am currently 6 days out from surgery.Everything went great only complaint is gas. All week I've been taking the melt in your mouth gas strips.within minutes I have to run to the bathroom. My bm is all liquid but it does relieve some gas. Am I dumping because of the sugar in the gas x? Anyone have any explanations our experience with this problem?
  9. One Week Post-Op!

Seven7! I had my sugery the 21st as well!!! I would love to chat about our progress and what not!
  10. 6 Days Post Op

I'm 6 days post op. I had a great surgery and only stayed in the hospital one night. No major pain other than gas whenever I drink liquids. I'm having alot of trouble getting my liquids in and I'm getting very little protein. I was told by my doctor that just do my best the first week and then start keeping track of everything. I'm allowed clear liquids until monday (two more days). I have alot more options starting next week when I move to full protein liquids. I need advice on this.I feel great not very deprived but I know it will come if I don't step it up. Drinking is so difficult. I can only drink warm liquids (no protein). Sorry to babble. Any advice?
  11. Needed Some Support!

So I was only in the hospital one night! I'm up and about and no longer in need of pain meds! My doctor performed the surgery with help of the da vinci robot. I highly recommend it!!! The only problem I still have is the gas, but I'm using lots of gasx strips. I'm also having alot of trouble drinking all the liquids. I have maybe gotten in 10 oz a day but I'm working on it.
