  6. When I was considering getting WLS my doctor came to me and said the local newspaper (Post Standard) wanted to write an article about teens who had the surgery and I said it was alright for it. The article came out today and I wanted to share it with y'all. http://www.syracuse.com/news/index.ssf/2012/05/e_central_new_york_teen_loses.html
  7. You look amazing! Keep up the great work!
  8. Wow haven't updated that in awhile! I weigh 220 now. Thank you everyone for the kind words, my doctor told me he wants to see me at 220. I told my doctor I want to see myself at 200. 20lbs to go and I'm finished wooo hooo!

  10. Hey y'all it's been awhile since I've posted on here but it's because I've been so busy enjoying my new life. Just wanted to share this photo and say a big thank you to everyone who has helped me along the way. Only 24 more pounds until I've hit my goal and 4lb till I've hit my doctors goal for me!
  11. I saw my surgeon and nurse practitioner yesterday (not actually positive that is her title) while I was at the hospital with my Mom (not for a check-up my Mom works at the hospital) and my surgeon Dr. Desimone asked me "How are you feeling, loosing 100lbs in such a fast time can be hard for some people?" and I told him " I feel awesome! I've never felt this good in my entire life!" and it's true. Other than some B-12 deficiency (that physically I don't feel but according to my blood work I need to be prescribed a pill for it) I've had no problems! So much of my life has changed, things I used to find so hard are so easy. The fact that I haven't taken in elevator in over 3 months I wear like a badge of honor!
  12. I had surgery on June 27, 2011 at the time I weighed 387 today I weighed 287. 100lbs down since my surgery. Although all together (including my pre-surgery weight loss) I've lost 127bs!! So excited for this new life!

  15. Is apple cider okay to drink as a treat? My towns "Fall Festival" is tonight and I would love a warm glass of cider however don't really know how my body will stomach it.

Honestly, I dont think it would be worth the risk, of being out at the festival feeling crummy, until it passes. Especially if when you dump, you sweat like I do!!

Cider has tons of sugar...natural or otherwise...maybe dilute it down with some water, or have a very small portion. I love cider...so I'm right with ya!
