I may be in trouble...
So me and my BF were messing around last night, and when I told him I was on BC he got really happy...so in the heat of the moment, he didn't pull out, and we were not using a condom (I know...very bad on my part). My question is, if anyone may know, If I am on Depo but missed my last shot a couple of weeks ago, can I still get pregnant? I know it takes a while for all the BC to get out of your system which is why they say to stop taking it like 6 months before you want to get pregnant, but is it still possible? I am kind of in a panic right now. I mean believe me I really want a baby (main reason I had this surgery) but I am not even a year post-op so I don't want to put myself or the baby in jeopardy. Please give me some advice...thanks
Amber

Given the circumstances, I'd be going to the drug store and getting myself one of those 'morning after' pills. They are now available w/o a script, you just have to ask at the pharmacy counter to get them. I believe you have up to 72 hours to use one, tho the sooner you use it, the more successful it would be. I could be wrong about the time frame though.. so check with your pharmacist. Good luck

thanks misty. I thought about that, but wasn't even sure if would absorb right since our organs are all rearrainged and stuff. Plus being in Texas, I don't even know which pharmacy would have it. A lot of pharmacies here refuse to sell it.

I went off the pill and got pregnant 6 days later. So you might want to get the morning after pill if you don't want a baby right now. Oh yeah and "pulling out" doesn not always work. I have a couple friends that have babies now using that method. Just sayin.

go ahead and get plan b. heck i have used it and i am married. accidents happen.... just ask the pharmacist for it, its behind the counter. your walgreens, cvs or rite aid should all carry it. its no biggy - just pop the pills (or pill now) and you should be good. absorption wise - i think that if docs allow bypass patients to use pills, should be ok for this method too.

The morning after pill is FINE for us. (i had to use it a few months ago) But YES if you didnt get your depo a couple weeks ago you can get pregnant chances would be slim because the cycle takes a few months to come back (i just went back on depo last month because i do NOT want anymore kids) and yeah you have to use that pill within 72 hours of sex AND its 55$ for the one stinking pill

If you're anything like me, I'd get the morning after pill. I did the same thing 21 years ago and had a two-year-old at the time (I got pregnant for him two weeks after going off the pill). My twins will be turning 21 soon. I wasn't using depo (not available then), but we did a similar 'thing' with the result of me being pregnant for twins.
On the other hand, I wouldn't have traded my experience for the world. Love those kids to pieces. All three of them have been the best thing that ever happened to me and neither pregnancy was planned.

I got the pill. 50 bucks for it. I had to use the walgreens at my hospital that I work for. That was kind of embarrassing lol. I see my OBGYN tomorrow, so I will make sure that I am not pregnant then. She is switching me to something other than Depo (I have not stopped bleeding for three months) so she has to do a pregnancy test before she switches me. Here's hoping it is negative.
