Then, we sold our 66 Nova SS for the down payment of our first house. So.. I can totally relate.

I currently have a car that looks practical but is sooo much fun to drive- a VW with a 5 speed turbo Fun.
Kel, that's a bummer about giving up the 69 Camaro...I love that model year. Just think, you could have easily thrown a car seat in the back of it.

I had forgotten that you're a "hell on wheels" type of woman that likes to drive fast! Enjoy that turbo for me, because I'm really missing my supercharger at the moment.

I actually do like my new vehicle though....it's all loaded up with heated leather seats, a moon roof, 10 speaker Infinity sound system with a 6 disk CD changer, iPod connector, memory seats and mirrors, fancy wheels, etc. It's a Kia, but they geared it toward competing with the luxury SUV's. So it is a really nice vehicle...but it's just hard getting used to it...know what I mean?

Just a little update....

Day before yesterday, I started to get the "itchy scratchies". (You ladies probably understand my reference, lol.) A few hours later, I started getting some pelvic pain, similar to what you'd feel with an urinary tract infection. So, I called my OB office the following morning, and they sent me for a urine test to see if it was an UTI. The results came back as negative, so they had me come in this morning. The doc examined me, confirmed I had a yeast infection and wrote me out a prescription for some medicine.

Here comes the scary part...she tried to find the heartbeat using a Doppler and couldn't find it. Of course that scared the poop out of me. She was concerned (because of the lack of heartbeat and my pelvic pain) so she sent me for an ultrasound right away. Thank goodness, the ultrasound went well. The technician picked up a heartbeat after only a few seconds, which was a huge relief. The baby must have been doing his/her morning aerobics, because he/she was kicking and punching like crazy! The ultrasound technician said that was probably why the doctor was unable to hear the heartbeat with the Doppler...because he/she was jumping around way too much.

Anyway...I got the added benefit of seeing my little bambino today, which was nice. Here's a link to a video (during exercise class, lol) and I'm also attaching a couple of still pictures.

Oh, I forgot to add....I finally got my H1N1 (swine flu) vaccine on Monday evening. I've been looking in vain for it, but it's in short supply around here. I kept called my OB and PCP office, but neither had gotten it yet. The PCP finally got it on Monday morning, and I made an appointment right away to get it. I still need to get the seasonal flu vaccine, but I have to wait a week after the other one. The swine flu was what was really scaring me though, since a ton of people around my area have been getting it. It's very dangerous for pregnant women to get the swine flu.

I also tried maternity pants for the first time this week...OMG, they're so comfortable! I can still squeeze into my size 8 jeans, but they're really binding my waist and giving me heartburn when I eat. I once swore that I'd never, ever wear elastic waist pants again...but I'll make an exception for maternity pants, lol.

Lol, I did see something, but I'm pretty sure it was an umbilical cord...either that or the baby is VERY blessed (anatomically speaking).
