Hello I am 7months post op and i am strongly considering a tummy tuck prior to getting pregnant in a couple of years. My question is has anybody done a tummy tuck post surgery and pre pregnancy????

I wonder if you will have time? If you have to stay at a stable weight for at *least* 6 months (depends on the doc), then schedule the surgery, then the plastic surgeon will tell you not to get pregnant for quite awhile so your incisions heal.

I know a lady who had a body lift and the surgeon told her to not get pregnant for at least a year afterwards. She did get pregnant 18mo afterwards, had a healthy baby girl, and was left with a normal post-baby mommy body that women have had for eons

Yep I did! I was told not to have a baby for at least a year after the body lift. I waited a little longer then that. I'm glad I did it before. My tummy went down pretty quick, and is still flat. It was all new skin (not stretched out) so it wasn't any diff than a "normal" person getting pregnant. If you don't plan on having babies until at least 1 year after a TT I don't see an issue, but you should always check w/your doc because they are all diff and have dif "rules".

Thanks! I'm also getting married next year and would love to have my tummy tuck before the wedding but i don't think it would be possible because of time and money of course. How long after you had your surgery did you have the tummy tuck??? all this loose skin is irritating my skin under my belly flap. I don't want to wait a long time to have it because i would really want to start trying to have a baby about 1 1/2 years after my wedding i get married in august of next year
