Since so many asked questions that involve long answers, I'm doing it in a new thread. First off, bump pics. I posted these in another thread, but I think they got buried. It's okay, I don't mind posting them again. I'm pretty much all belly, hard to tell from the front, but from the side, I swallowed something resembling a watermelon...too big to be a basketball.
Okay, that's out of the way. Oh hey, how about another picture before answering the deep questions hehe....I made these for little man. It's my first BIG knitting project that I actually finished. I'm so proud.
Okay okay, no more stalling........
Immigration and where we stand....
As of September 15, 2009, according to CIC's website (Canada's Immigration people), they have received all our paperwork and have
made a decision!!! Now, before you all start squealing and jumping around.....we still don't know what the decision is. When they adjust your status to Decision Made, one of 3 things will happen.
- An interview will be required, at a time and date of their choosing.
- We will either be approved or denied. A letter will be sent.
- If we're approved, all our PR paperwork will be sent along with the approval letter.
We haven't gotten the letter yet, so we don't know which of the 3 things is going to happen. We've been trying to call them, but for the past 2 weeks, they're phone lines have been busy. Busy to the point where once we get through all the automated stuff to wait for an agent, we get a recording saying they're too busy to take the call and disconnect us. Part of this is due to the tsunami last week. They're pushing through applications of people from that area, so agents are busy talking to those people who want to know what's happening with their apps now.
We're hoping it's good news. We're tentatively making plans as if it's good news. I need it to be good news. No airline will let me fly after November 25th.
Baby Birthing Plans
Okay, so currently, the plan is another c-section. Except, my iron level is way too low to survive surgery without a transfusion or two. I'm working on that right now. My OB wants to deliver at 39 weeks, which happens to be Christmas Eve. So, because of the holiday, he's aiming for the Monday before, which I believe to be the 21st of Dec. If this is how it has to be, then so be it. I'm not in a mental position to fight my doctor, the hospital, and the state on having the birth of my choice. The ONLY reason I have to have another section is because I've had 2. They don't care that the first one was over 13 years ago.
Now, on the off chance that I'm back in Canada, I'm going to try a vba2c. Assuming (again) that the hospital lets me. I think if I explain the reasons behind my previous surgeries, the fact that one was 13 years ago, AND the fact that neither of them were medically necessary and both were "planned", I might get to try natural. Heck, with all the pain I've been in each and every time I eat, I think this labor thing will be cake.
Feel free to ask questions.....
