Tawnie when are you due? I'm hoping that she's just small. I say she doesn't want to be a big fatty like her mommy was!
I'll try to get some pics posted so you guys can see. To me I look pregnant but for all my friends they are like come on now when are you going to pop out.
I do have to say that I LOVE being pregnant. I love feeling the little lady move.

HI! I also got pregnant but about a year after GBS and my daughter was born prematurly at 30 weeks. The Dr also told me she wasn't growing properly they told me she would be born before term. It was my first child after 2 miscarriages and I was very scared. She was born 10 weeks early & her weight was 1lb and 10oz. She was very tiny and not fully developed, but she made it, she was 7 weeks in the hospital and was out before the 40th week and she only weight 4 lbs when I took her home. She is my miracle baby. She is now 2 1/2 years old and is doing well, she is small too compare to other kids her age, her dad & myself are average sizes so I dont worry much.
But Dr's did say she was like 2 weeks behind and she wasnt getting the proper oxygen from the umbilical cord and this is why she had to come out, she also stopped breathing a few times & that really scared all of us. I had no idea I was having contractions until they told me, she was born c-section.
Many people too told me I was having this problems cause of the GBS, but my Dr also said it had nothing to do with it. I was taking my prenatals, my uterus is just not working properly cause I already have a history of 2 miscarriages so you will be fine. Plus now in days the hospitals are loaded with new technology and your baby will be fine.
I just went to the UCSD premature picnic they have every year, it was nice seing all those miracle babies with their love ones, I love this picnics because they are inspiring. That is where my daughter was born the UCSD in Hillcrest, they are the best in San Diego, CA.

Good luck and dont stress or worry, maybe your baby is just small like you said. She doesn't want to be overweight LOL.

Thanks Veronica. I'm glad that everything went great for your daughter and that she now a healthy two year old.
I swear today I woke up and BAM there was my belly. I look huge today. Who know's she (savanna or Olivia can't decide on name) moved A LOT last night so maybe she was making room for herself.

Many many women have healthy babies after GBS so try not to worry. Being obese when I got pregnant with my youngest, my doctor told me not to gain a lot of weight. I was about 220. I was told that I needed no more than 300 extra calories per day to have a healthy baby. That's easy to do I would think. Plus, think about how much healthier you're eating now versus before the wls. Your child is getting much better nutrients. You're little girl is going to be just fine!

I am sure everything is fine. I work with a young lady who had WLS 3 years ago. She is 7 months and she gets so worried because everyone keeps telling her she is very small and not putting on enough weight. Her Dr told her to ignore all the comments everything is fine. Keep us up dated. I am a grandmother of a 18 month and love hearing about mommies to be.

Hi Jeanie, I am sure baby girl (I vote Savannah) will be fine. The test I asked you about the other day the Nuchal Thickness test is done to check for Downs Syndrom depending on the age of the mom which is usually 34 and on it is a blood test and Sonogram where they measure the base of the neck and compare that with the blood work but I think you are too far along now to have it done sometimes they can tell so when you get farther along you dont have to have an amnio done if the results are good theres a very specific time line when you have to have it done...are you having a Amnio done? has your doc even talked about it? maybe you should ask her if she has not mentioned it.

OOOOOOOOOOOH that's the test. No I didn't have that done but I did have an amnio done around 18 weeks or so. Everything came out fine with that. When I had my 20 week sonogram done little lady measured just right, so I'm sure everything will be fine. She has been moving around so much the past two days, and I have gotten huge (for me I actually look pregnant now). I think she's moving around so much to make room for herself. She was having a party Tuesday night around 3am.
