Brooke Born 6-17-08
She has arrived!
I went in for emergency surgery on Friday the 13th. I got a bowl obstruction that was WLS related. I had the surgery but Brooke didn’t come until a few days later. I went into labor and it happened so fast that I had her vaginally and natural. It was definitely not by choice to do it that way after just having surgery but hey I didn’t have much of a choice. After 1 hour of labor Brooke arrived. She was 6 weeks early and spent 10 days in the special care nursery. We just brought her home today! Unfortunately after having to deliver her vaginally the pushing created issues with my incision. To make a long story very short I got really sick after I had her and spent a week in the hospital myself. I did get better but I left the hospital with a wound infection that resulted in a 4 inch open hole in my tummy that needs to be packed twice a day!
It was a crazy ride but in the end it was all worth it because Brooke is beautiful and I am so in love! I love being a Mom already.

Holly, what a scary time for you. I'm so glad that you and Brooke are both safely home. She's a little beauty.
Congratulations!! You are obviously a very proud Mom and Dad, and with good reason!
