I'd rather be showing and have a little baby. How the heck did you push out a 10 pounder.
My nephew was 8pounds 5ounces and he is now 6'5" wears a size 15 or 16 shoe, and he's only 16!

Jeanie, my sister's last baby was 10lbs 7oz...an hour and a half of labor, 2 pushes and out popped baby...no drugs, no tearing. Granted it was baby #5

As far as showing...I thought I was showing too much when I was where you are...but only when I was lying down. When it's your first baby, you tend to not show until later. Trust me, there will come a day in about 4 months where you're going to look back on this and laugh at yourself, wondering why you wanted to be showing already...and then wondering where the hell your feet went.

I started wearing maternity clothes the minute I found out I was pregnant... I had just lost 100lbs. before getting married...got married, got pregnant 6 weeks later. I didn't want everyone thinking "hey, she got married and is now turning into a fatty again"...so I wore the maternity clothes so it would be obvious that I was prego. How pathetic am I! Then I ate my way to a 108lb. weight gain... uhhhh..HELLO!!!!

I don't mind wearing maternity clothes the problem is I have to pull them up everytime I walk somewhere because they are too big. I'm not sure how the whole sizing thing works. I bought the size up of my normal size, but not sure that's how it's done. WOW I guess I gotta lot to learn about being pregnant....lol Good thing I know how to take care of babies. At least I think I do.

You're kind of in an awkward stage right now. We have similar surgery histories and I didn't start showing until about 20 weeks. The kids at school finally noticed that I'm pregnant this week, go figure?

I do a lot of shopping @ Motherhood and they run pretty much true to size, I wish I knew that before buying bigger sized clothes on clearance. At 30 weeks prego, I have things in my closet I've beginning to think I'll never "grow" into. I have to roll down most of my pants, try the "secret belly" panel. You can also use the baby bump belly pillow in the dressing room when you try on clothes, it lets you see how much things will stretch. Good Luck

Oh God I LOVE the secret belly jeans. I still wear them, a month after the baby was born. They totally suck everything in to where it's supposed to be. I can't fit into my pre-preg jeans yet (I CAN zip and button them lying down, but forget about standing up), and my 2 pairs of maternity jeans are still getting quite the work out. I wish my belly jeans weren't a large though, they're too big in the butt and thighs and I'm forever pulling them up. Plus it's embaressing when I breastfeed in public to have this blue panel showing. Of course, it's better than the saggy skin alternative.....

Ya know Jeanie...When I was preggo with #3, it was really hard for me, as I was only 20 months out of baby #2 and 3 was a complete and utter SHOCK! I was really depressed and needed oodles of comfort and info. I found BabyCenter and met up with women who were due with their babies the same month I was. There were a few women there who really clicked and to this day I still keep in contact with 6 of them from all over the country. That was over 5 years ago and we still talk daily via a private group. The point of this was, babycenter.com has oddles of groups, info, articles, plug ins, time lines...you name it. They have information out the wazoo that is wonderful for a first time Mommy, or a 3rd timer looking for a shoulder to cry on. I totally reccomend it, plus, it's FREE.

Don't forget to sign up for free samples of formula, even if you plan to nurse...Sign up on-line with your due date at all these places and they will send you coupons and free stuff for your babies first year. With the price of diapers and formula...it's totally worth it!! I'm a resource junkie...

i poped fast but that was just me. No worries everyone is different. After 20 weeks you will start to grow fast. As long as your Doc says you are ok then just keep doing what you are doing.
