Congratulations, girl! That is so awesome! Ya'll pregnant people need to send the baby dust around. I need to get my hands on that water you've been drinking. We just started trying. Next period is due Thursday so we'll see what happens. This is my first cycle off the pill and I was never regular before. Some say that the pill might have regulated me enough to make me ovulate right after going off it. I sure hope so!
Again, congrats! I don't know how you kept the secret so long. DH and I have talked about who we'll tell at first and I probably will be blabbing it to the whole world! You are so lucky!

I went off the pill at the end of Dec around the 26-27th, and I got pregnant on Jan 6. You can google ovulation calander and it will tell you your best day. Mine happened to be Jan 6th and when we count back that's when it happened. I've been on the pill for a LOT of years, so I thought it would take awhile but guess I was wrong.

I am so happy for you both.
A new life on the forum bet the first thing you will do is teach the baby to type lol
Has loosing weight made it possible for you both to have a child? I have heard ofpeople trying for years and then they loose weight and a baby appears?
Please share your story with me.

Actually this is the first time that I've ever tried to get pregnant. So I can't say that I wouldn't have been able to before. I know that I have found an awesome man that loves me very much. He truly is the best thing that has ever happened to me. Would I have found him had I not lost wieght I think yes. We were meant to find each other. We met playing softball which I did as a big girl also. I'm sure that losing weight will make me have a better easier pregnancy though.

Dave and I started shacking up in '03 and never used any form of female initiated birth control. Once we were serious and contemplating marriage we stopped using latex and went au natural.
It took me 4 yrs and 260 lbs to get pregnant.

I had my first 2 children with no trouble, and then tried for 2 years for a third that never happened. I was told it was my weight + being on birth control caused ovulation issues. My son's father had a vasectomy then and I stopped using any form of birth control. Fast forward 8 years. I had my surgery, lost 150 pounds, got a divorce and got on birth control. I met my current husband and since I'd been on BC, we never used anything on his end. I stopped taking my birth control a few days before flying out to meet him for a summer vacation, had a period, and 2 weeks later got pregnant with Emily.
The women in my family seem to get pregnant very quickly if you breath on us incorrectly, as long as we're under a certain weight. My sister had her 5th baby in November of last year without much trying.
