Default Good News!! (kind of)

So, I got off my tushy and called the midwife clinic that delivers in the area that DH's parents live. It was a long shot and my in laws said I could use their address for this. The good news is, they don't want $3000 up front because I don't have the provincial health plan...and they took down my information. The bad news is......they're full for the time I would deliver.

So, I'm on a waiting list and she's going to try to get me in. It's an hour and a half drive from where I live, but damn it, I'm willing to make it, if it means I can finally see a doctor.

I told them about my bypass and the complications I had with my previous pregnancies and she feels there's absolutely NO reason I shouldn't be able to have a VBAC. I'm totally excited about this. She also said I would need a referral in order to get an ultrasound, but any family doctor or walk in clinic could give me one (the referral) while I was waiting.

She also said, if I wanted to, I could call other midwife clinics and see if they were willing to deliver someone who didn't live in their area so that I wouldn't have to wait. I wasn't aware that I could do this, or I'd have called around alot sooner. She did mention that it depended on the practice though, and some wouldn't deliver people who lived in other areas. Guess it's time for me to get on the phone.
