I am hoping the new doctor I see on the 19th can give me some educated answers!

Hows your pregnancy coming along??

Renee,

It is coming along just fine. I get pretty tired, but I'll take that over the nausea I was feeling any day! I go in to see the doc tomorrow and hopefully will get a real due date...LOL

Good luck with the new doc. I really find it hard to believe that a baby would over eat. You know if you offer them a bottle and they aren't hungry, they spit out the nipple. I say follow your instincts and hopefully one of these "specialists" will actually be able to help you.

Renee,

He is absolutely adorable... I wouldn't worry about his eating.. I haven't had kids but I've been around my sisters, and aunts, cousins, etc. They all grow and eat at their own pace. I'm sure he is not unusual.. I know that my aunt had a baby boy who was kinda like Amari who wanted to eat all the time. When they supplemented cereal for him he stopped wanting so much food all the time. He just wasn't getting enough with the milk. Don't fret.. I'm sure he is fine. Take care, Janie

My son was the same way. He had stomach surgery at 3 weeks for pyloric stenosis and as soon as he woke up from that, he was hungry all the time. His doctor said to start feeding him very very runny cereal and he was fine.

Hey Janie,

How are you feeling sweetheart? I haven't been on much lately, but I have been trying to follow your story still...

Amari is getting a little bit better, he went into the hospital on Friday for some testing to find out why he throws up so much, eats so much and can not poop on his own...Still waiting the results......

I did take him off Milk formula and now have him on Soy based formula and he seems to be doing a tad better..It has only been 2 days so I am not getting excited yet..But he did sleep 5 hours over the weekend...YEAH

Renee, my son weighed 10 lbs 15 oz when he was born and he was a little monster. He ate like he was starving all the time. His doc had me start him on cereal at 2 months to try and fill his little tummy with some substance so he would not drink so much formula. Maybe that would be something to help. It seemed to help my little guy....well when he was little. He's 6'3" now. LOL

My first three children all weighed 10lbs and more this little prince of mine was tiny compared to them but eats way more then they ever ate..He just turned 3 months old and is wearing 12 month clothes..YIKES He is growing so quickly. They had me try the new Enfamil AR which is thicker then most formulas as it has rice starch (they claimed it would help with his reflux) as well as maybe slow him down..It didn't help at all..Now they think he has a severe milk allergy so he is on the Soy formula and it has helped with some of his gas issues. I am thinking about starting to feed him in the next few weeks as I can't handle feeding him every hour anymore. I am trying to hold off as long as I can but don't think I can much longer. I am sure Amari is going to be a big boy as his father is 6'2 225lbs...He is going to be built just like him, I think anyways

I started all three of mine on cereal at 3 months. They were just ravenous little gluttons without it. Around here, most reccomend starting cereal around 3 months anyway. I think it's just about time for your little fellow. He is such a doll!!!
