Default Amari is 5 weeks

Hey TT Family,

Sorry I haven't been around much, I sure have been missing you all lots!

Amari is still having some issues with vomitting, they have ruled our reflux or at least one doctor has. They believe he may just have a severe case of colic so they have given me some medication to help him relax a bit and the medicine is also suppose to help with gas and his bowel movement issues that we have been struggling with.

He is finally 5 weeks old and he sure is getting his own little personality and of course mommy just loves him to death. His is a updated picture of my little prince!

What a precious little man you have there...I hope he continues to improve and they find out the real cause of the vomitting!

Oh that FACE! When mine was that age, I never got anything done, I was always staring at him...I hope he's feeling better very soon.

I was hoping we'd get updated pics soon.. of baby Amari! I hope they figure out what causes the vomiting.. and they can get it under control. (for both of your sakes). He is beautiful! I am sure you are enjoying him!

My youngest was "colicky" too, and never slept more than 40 minutes in a row, or even smiled until he was 6 months old. Someone finally suggested soy formula, and it made an incredibly huge difference! The boy was (and still is) lactose intolerant. After just 2 feedings of soy formula he slept and slept and so did I--and he turned into the biggest chuckleheaded baby! He still has that great sense of humor.

Soy formula won't hurt him if that's not the problem, but will dramatically change his health if it is! Good luck with your precious little guy!

Thank you everyone for the kind words! He is my little prince. I just love him to death and I must say he is a bit spoiled at 5 weeks old, I just love snuggling with him. But some of the household members are not so happy as I am not getting anything done around here!

Donna- I have tried the Soy formula and it actually made him vomit even worse and slept ten times worse. They have tried him on every formula they have on the market.

I did give him the medicine they prescribed about 2 nights ago, I was so leary about it but I finally broke down and did it. My husband and I panicked after doing it as he got really relaxed and I thought maybe I had given him tooo much. But he was fine and it actually seemed to help and for the last 2 days since I haven't given him any and he has been less fussy. So who knows!

Anyways, he is doing great and gaining lots of weight. 13lbs 12oz already!

Awwwwwww he is so precious! I can see why he's spoiled rotten at 5 weeks! I would spoil him too if he was mine. I think these are memories you will never forget of him. I had time like that with my daughter and I wouldn't trade it for the world. The first few hours we got to meet face to face was the most precious memories. Her Dad and brother were both sick with upper respiratory infections so we got to spend tons of time alone snuggling.
