Default Nutrition During Pregnancy ?

Hi everyone . wow this section is kinda slow huh ? wish there was more o us to talk to each other about things. i belong to the WEBMD first trimester board which is help full but not on all things. i am a little over 9 months post op rny . and 9 weeks pregnant . i havent told my surgeon yet !!! a little scared i guess. this was no surprise though. more of a miracle . other 2 kids were clomid babies this one was all us . i am just a bit curious about the nutrition . before it was mostly protein i tried to get in but now i purposely eat carbs (not tons) and more fruits and veggies . wondering if this is ok ? i try to eat 6 times a day but am unable to do that yet , with the fact i have to keep hydrated. i still try not to drink before, during , or after a meal. if i could help it i would only gain 20 lbs during this pg. . is it ok to do the protein vials during pregnancy ? i am also having issues with low blood pressure (and dizziness ) what can i do to help this? thank you for listening .

Well there is more info about some of our experiences being pregnant but we just got this section maybe about a month and a half ago. I want to first off say that the Dizziness you should get addressed ASAP with your PCP or your OB/Gyn. That is a very serious situation and should be monitored. I would say for sure to keep getting the protein vials in. It might take a little while to get your six small meals in at first but work your way up to it. I am sure as your pregnancy progresses you will be able to get in more. BTW big congrats on your beautiful blessing. So what are you hoping to have?

I just gave birth to my little miracle prince. I got pregnant at a little over a year out from rny.

As far as your nutrition is concerned, I would say to keep trying for those 6 small healthy meals. In the very beginning I couldn't eat much and I was terrified that I wasn't getting in enough nutrition. My specialist advised to just keep trying and to make all my meals I could eat healthy. Eventually, I think close to 20-25 weeks pregnant, it all seemed to start to come together. I was able to eat more but then I began to panic that I was eating toooo much and gaining to much weight. But in the end everything turned out great, I believe I gained around 38lbs and I have lost it all already and my son is under a month old. The best advise is to stay hydrated, do your protein vials, take your vitamins and eat as healthy as you can!

I also had low blood pressure and was dizzy all the time, it eventually started to come up the further into my pregnancy and the more food I was able to eat but I would mention it to your doctor.

If you have any questions or just need to talk I am here! I wish you alot of luck and a BIG congrats on your miracle!

I know how this time can be so nerve racking as it was for me but everything will be great

Keep us all posted!
