Default Not pregnant yet... thinking about it?

We are not pregnant yet and won't be trying until September when I am one-year post op. But I am so afraid of weight gain I can't even explain! Is it hard to stay true and not over eat because you are "eating for 2" we all know that is crap but can be a good excuse! Afterward how is it getting the weight off? I am just afraid of the unknown!

Brittany I am sure it is all about your frame of mind walking intot his pregnancy. Stick to your guns about your structured way of eating. Like you said it is crock to say your eating for two. Where I picked up my bad habits was eating six meals throughout the day instead of the 3 I was origanlly use to before I got pregnant. Best advice find an OB who is very educated in the matter and who can guide you nutrionally as well. As long as you keep your protein on board you can't go wrong.

Well I got pregnant right at a year out of surgery...and I had all the same feelings and I wont lie the first few months I was paranoid about gaining any weight at all. At first the scale didn't move then it started to and I was scared. I just had my beautiful baby on June 28th and I gained 43lbs my whole pregnancy, went into labor with gaining 38lbs and I already lost 15lbs and I was a little bit underweight so I am hoping to only lose another 10lbs.

I wont lie and say I ate great with my pregnancy. I found out that my sugar tolerance went up a great deal with my pregnancy and I started to snack alot but I got in check early on. I did eat 6 meals a day and snacked as well but that is what my body wanted. I still eat very small meals so it worked for me and I changed my snacking to eat yogurt and fruit and dry cheerios.

My best advice to you is just watch what you eat and eat healthy and all will fall into place. I know it is easier said then done but I did it and I was a huge SNACKER!

I had a healthy baby and everything went GREAT...I wish you alot of luck and if you need to ask anything please feel free
