Default Update..........

Well everyone we have decided the best thing to do is go ahead with the C-section...It makes it easier on everyone and I can go on with my life and quit stressing...I am having my C-section on Thursday at 7am. And my husband will be able to come to home now and my mother is also trying to get an emergency flight out for tomorrow night. So it seems that this is just the best way for everyone!

Please say a pray and I will see you all in a few days!

Thanks again for all your support it means a great deal to me Can't wait to post pictures!

Renee,

I say get a new doctor quick. I know that isn't possible, but can tell you that my labor was induced with my third child with an IV of potosin (sp?) and I was in labor with contractions 1 minute apart for 18 hours...they finally said "oh your cervix feels funny" Duh, it was scarred over from them cutting it years before when i had cervical cancer. They told me I probably would never be able to carry another child, but I had the opposite..where she was stuck and my cervix wouldn't dialate. The doctor came in and had to cut away the scar tissue..ouch and then my daughter just popped out. Anyway, maybe this is why your doctor says to wait. He may not want to put you into an additional agony. I would go for the C-section if you become worse. You have been pregnant for a long time and the baby is good size. Whatever you choose, I wish you luck and hope your pain subsides. Hugs and strength coming to you.

I'm glad you made a decision and you'll have your mom and husband with you. One more day to go! On a side note, have you heard of MOPS? (Mothers of Preschoolers) There's about 3,000 of them and the purpose is to nurture moms. They usually meet once a week in churches and have a time of speakers, crafts, discussion time, and just plain old "mommy time" while they provide childcare for a couple of hours. It's a wonderful organization and a great place to meet other moms, especially if you are new to an area. I've been involved with the organization for 11 years now. Even though my jr high kids aren't babies anymore....LOL...I run a Teen MOPS program for pregnant teens and teenage moms. Being a mom is hard work and we all need all the love and support we can get!! Check it out at www.MOPS.org . I look forward to hearing how your delivery went!! Keep us posted.

That's great that you will be surrounded by love and support when littleman gets to town, but I still think it is horrendous that you had to ASK to have your body CUT INTO in order to achieve it. I still think your OB is a prick.

I wish you a gentle low pain delivery followed by tender nurturing. I think the MOPS group sounds perfect for you! I participated in something similar when Jay was a baby, and it was a really great thing.

My thoughts will be with you tomorrow, Renee!
