This looks really good with one major exception..
(I love the fit & fresh stuff, btw!)
The pro-shots.. are these the little 3 oz shots of collegen protein? See this thread for info...
Is all protein created equal?
It does not have the amino acids needed to process that time of protein so it pretty much useless. If you can return them, I would suggest that you do so.
The rest of the list looks good, though!
Good luck!

I didn't stock up on anything because I didn't know what I was going to be able to tolerate or feel like eating. If you go out and buy a bunch of stuff you might find out that you won't like or need it post-op. The first week I lived on Sugar free carnation instant breakfast shakes with 1/4 cup of dry milk added (for extra protein), sugar free/fat free pudding, sugar free popsicles (I like the Edy's brand, still do), non-chunky yogurt and cream soups.
I now can't stand any of that stuff except the popsicles. Once I went to regular foods I couldn't stand milk products. I also hated the protein drinks (still do). I did buy some of the syntrax nectars and now I can't even look at the stuff. I eat a lot of cheese and soup now and can tolerate pretty much any type of meat.
I found that eating isn't such a big deal anymore and I really don't care about it that much (which is awesome).

Hyacinth darling, I'm moving in with you. I hope you don't mind. LOL. We don't have *SHIT* in this country that I've seen.
This is what I've bought:
New slippers
Four 4 oz plastic containers
Whey Protein Isolate Powder
1 bottle of vegetable fasting juice
1 package of strawberry jello (not sugar free, and this was the only flavor)
chicken, beef, and vegetable flavored broth
1 container of no sugar added, no fat cherry yogurt
1 package of bite sized veggie burgers (they've been in the freezer since may lol)
iron, liquid vit D
That's it

The majority of the stuff on her list were non-food items, though... I think it's a fantastic list, minus that one exception noted..

I agree with Kel, it's a great list with the exception of the Proshot protein. I looked them up, and they are a mix of proteins. They include some whey isolate, which is good, and some collagen, which is not good, and something else, I forget what. The bottom line is, they won't really provide you with 25 grams of protein because you won't absorb all of it well. It's hard to say how much you will absorb. If you can return them, I would. Otherwise, if you are already getting your minimum of 60 grams of protein for the day, you could use them to give yourself a little boost. Just don't count on them for your minimum, because they won't give you all you need.
What about vitamins? I don't really know what vitamins are recommended for the sleeve, but you are supposed to take vitamins, aren't you?
It is a good idea not to stock up too much on food or protein drinks because you don't know what you are going to like after surgery. You want to make sure you have enough to get you started the first few days, but then you can order more protein drinks once you know what you like and you can go grocery shopping. You'll probably be glad to get out of the house and walk around a little bit anyway.
How far in advance you shop for things is really up to you. Obviously you can buy the non-food items weeks and weeks ahead of time if you want. I waited until a few days before my liquid diet and then went shopping for the stuff I would need for that. Then, a couple days before my surgery, I went shopping again for the things I would need the first few days post-op.
I personally recommend you visit vitalady.com and order some protein drink samples a couple weeks before your surgery so you have them available immediately post-op. I had not found vitalady at the time of my surgery and I did Atkins protein shakes for my pre-op diet and had a supply of them waiting for me at home in differen flavors, only to find that they now tasted disgusting and I couldn't drink them without gagging. So I skipped protein drinks for a few days, then went to GNC and bought a case of these other protein drinks, only to find that I hated them as well. I really wasted a lot of money. And didn't get enough protein, either, because I couldn't force the stuff down every day.
Kelly
