Thanks to TT
Thank you all for your comments and thank you Misty for noticing that the items are mainly non food items. As for the ProShots I ordered them just to taste them. I was worried that I'd get sick of the fake milky taste of the powder proteins, so wanted to find a protein that I could add to drinks. Ideally, one that was tasteless. Since purchasing the proshots I read about the types of protein, so I decided not to buy any more. I decided from the 'getgo' not to purchase any more protein than I have as i'm aware that I might not like the taste. I have a wish list of food products that i will purchase a few weeks after surgery. I also have a list of recipes for post-op. All list are on my blackberry.
I've looked and listened to other TT members and got ideas from YouTube. So thanks to all you TT old timers who have taken the time to share your experiences and know how with the rest of us.

If you do get tired of the milky protein drinks, there are some that are more like a juice-type drink. I'm not sure what you have available over there, but Syntrax Nectar is a popular one. I think Isopure makes a fruity drink, as well. And when I was in the hospital having my surgery they gave me something called Cytosport, which I thought tasted a lot like Gatorade, except it has an aftertaste that I found nasty. But it wasn't milky.

That's a pretty awesome list!
Here's what I have (and I'm a week away!!! eeek!):
Syntrax's full line of protein samples
Syntrax Nectar - Lemonade, Strawberry Kiwi, Caribbean Cooler and Unflavored
Various other protein samples
Various sugar-free drink mixes
Bariatric Advantage multivitamins (already started taking, I have to suck on them instead of chew them)
B1, B12, Calcium Citrate - I may not need the B's, but I need the calcium
Fiber supplements and samples
8 4-oz Ziploc brand bowls w/lids
My favorite Scooby Doo insulated lunchbox, just in case
A photo of me my Junior year of high school, just above my goal weight
A rocket blender (kinda like a Magic Bullet)
Every flavor of sugar free Jello I could find
Every flavor of sugar free pudding I could find
Sugar Free popsicles
Chicken and vegetable bouillon (not big on beef)
Creamy soups (chicken, celery, broccoli, mushroom, butternut squash, tomato, lots more)
V8 juice (super super rec'd by my nutritionist, easy way to get down some potassium and a tiny bit of fiber)
Digital kitchen scale (which I originally bought to keep track of my guinea pigs' weights -- they always go in a bucket first!)
Pre-order for Wii Fit Plus (and still have regular Wii Fit, which serves as my scale)
Resistance bands
Good walking shoes
4 pairs of PJ pants (I wear t-shirts with 'em)
chapstick
slippers
iPod to drown out my hubby
Trials of LUSH products to use for cleanliness
Still needed: TT Buddy to send a message after surgery.

Where would I buy these items? I haven't even bought anything and am getting concerned how I am going to get these items because I am unemployed and I am on a tight budget to buy everything that I need.

Call everywhere and see if you can get free samples. Do a google search for the type of things recommended by your doctor. I know Syntrax was giving 11 samples for $9.95. Vitalady.com - Protein Supplements, Vitamins & Minerals, and Safe Snacks! has some pretty decent deals, also. Check your local stores for sales.

Most of that stuff you can get at a grocery store or Walmart. All the food items, except for the protein powder, plus most of the other stuff. You can get samples of protein powder at Vitalady.com - Protein Supplements, Vitamins & Minerals, and Safe Snacks!. They sell samples for under $2 a piece. You can also get samples for $1.75 each at UNJURY Medical Quality Whey Protein Isolate. Great Tasting Whey Protein Supplements for Everyday Health! High Protein and High Quality., and you can get samples of Chike protein powder at Chike Nutrition - Best Tasting Meal Replacement Shake. Guaranteed. Pour, Shake, Drink & Go!. They will give you free samples of all five flavors, but you have to pay $3 for shipping.
You can email Celebrate and Bariatric Advantage for free samples of vitamins to see which ones you like.
Don't go overboard on buying food or protein before your sugery, because your tastes may change after surgery and what you like now, you may not like then.

It is a great list, but out of 38 items on it, I counted 21 items that are ingestible, so actually the majority of it IS food stuff.
I was trying to make the point (and this was some sage advice I was given by one of our esteemed members here prior to surgery), not to go nuts getting a lot of food items prior to surgery. I was careful, yet I threw away a lot of stuff later that I just couldn't stomach post-op. I found that my tastes changed considerably post-op. Even the "diet" stuff I used to love pre-op tastes like crap to me now, and the whey protein, yuck!
Not trying to be argumentative Kel, just trying to prove my point. I really appreciated the original advice I was given. It saved me a few bucks.

I went back and looked at the list and still feel that the majority of the stuff on the list- are non food items.. the big things anyway.. since I don't consider buying things like 2 packets of 02go flavorburst excessive nor do I think buying a variety of items to try post op excessive either.
No, no one should be out buying a case of anything but one or two packages of a variety seems to fall right in line with the advice not to stock up. That we do agree on, but that really does not look to be the case in that list. She will need to have *some* items on hand for those first few weeks or she won't have anything to even try.
