No I don't have a back-up buddy, not yet anyway. However, I have got one TT buddy who keeps in touch with my progress. She has also had the sleeve and is doing ever so well. When I get I date I will PM her and let her know.
Something tells me we'll be going through this surgery around the same time. So lets ride it out together. Funny thing is, this morning I got a call from the admission co-ordinator - the same person who i've been phoning all year - who has been vague and non informative. She phoned to say in her most sympathic voice - "just calling to let you know that I've not forgotten you - I be contacting you again on Monday. Its been decided that I don't need to have another pre-assessment afterall". Well blow me down with a feather, lol. That's all I wanted to begin with - an update of what's happening with me - keep me informed - in the loop' - involved. I would have thought that would be part of the job - without question. I guess they've never heard of customer service. it really unfair to treat people like this. I don't think they realise the impact that their inability to communicate with the patient has on them.
Anyway, I feel a little better for it. Lets hope our experience from here on improves.
