I read if you put foil on your sofa, the pets will stay off, not a Martha Stewart look tho !!! So maybe put some foil over your tummy and
they will keep 'em off for a few days while you lay down. ??
GOod luck and love those pets !!

OK, I know this sounds goofy, but this is what I did. A few days before my surgery, every time he tried to jump on my belly, I yelled "Booga booga booga" at him. It worked. And he still likes me.

My sweet little kitty must be one in a million - she was so gentle with me I was amazed. She would jump on the bed and snuggle beside me sniffing and watching me as if she knew there was something wrong with me. The only time she left my side for 3 days was to eat and use the litter. The rest of the time she was right there with me. Maybe she repayed me for the time I spent with her after she was spayed. I laid only on my right side for several days which probably helped with her not going on my tummy. I think the idea of putting the pillows on top is good as well. So many good ideas from everyone.
