Default The pre-op juggle....

So, it all started with a 12 year old couch. It was time to let it go. We agreed it was a good time with labor day sales and all. So we did, its awesome and waaaaayyy too big for our apartment living room. After about three or four juggles we finally figured out the best placement for it. The last one came about because it had swallowed the room and in order to get out of the living room we would have to walk aaallllllll the way around it first. Then one day I am reading these posts about how sometimes you have a little "spill in the pants" (if you will) so I panicked and realized I needed full access to the bathroom from all areas! Well once we did that and realized the best place for the largest thing in the room we had to move evrything else to accomodate it. So, we did. It's the pre op juggle. I feel so much more mentally cleansed now that I know I can walk (or run) freely through the apartment. Now, I am one week away from surgery and trying to figure out what else needs to be juggled... how else to prepare... I went to the grocery store and got some of the things I will need. But, besides that...does anyone have any other ideas of how to prepare for the hospital and post op here at home? Also, is it really a problem to drive a couple days later?

I know what you mean about 'cleansing.' I've been doing some myself at home, in my head, etc. I've redone my kitchen even so everything I'd need in the beginning was all in one place. It's funny how we all find ways to prepare!

As far as the house goes....Yep, did all that too. As for the driving my Doc. said I could as long as I wasn't on the pain meds.

I'm meditating everyday to release negative thoughts and feelings from my body, so that I feel more relaxed going into surgery.
