Unhappy help what shall i eat

I have to go and have my band with dr dillimans in 2 weeks exactly! excited. Not heard anything from them other than confirmation of what i need to pay when I get there.
I bit worried bout enlarged liver thing. Not been given any advice bout diet from direct health care or anything despite sending them an email.

has anyone had dr dillimans for a band and what shall i eat / drink for the next 2 weeks

Hi Sarah

Firstly - welcome aboard.

I had RNY with Dr D so it may be a little different - just ring direct healthcare and double check but basically I didn't have to follow any specific pre-op diet -I could eat anything I wanted right up until midnight before the surgery - in fact my last meal was full on Thai Banquet!

Good luck with the op - Dr D is fabulous and will look after you well.

xxx

This is the diet I received from my doctor this morning. I hope this helps!!

10 days prier to surgery.
These liquids can be taken in any amount since they do not contain sugar:
sugar free beverages such as crystal light, wylers light, sugar free kool aid, or sugar free tang, diet snapple, diet sodas, fruit 20, propel, coffee or tea with sugar substitute or water.
broth soups all varieties
sugar free popsicles

consume these liquids in moderation, they contain larger amounts of sugar
unsweetened fruit juices, gatorades, or powerade, limit to 2 cups or less each day.
regular jello, popsicles or no sugar added fudgesicles- limit to 3 or less servings each day
1 cup of milk, light yogurt, cottage cheese, limit to 3 or less servings per day
atkins shakes or carb solution shakes limit to 1 or 2 servings per day

I hope this helps a little!!

I didn't have any preop diet for the band. My advice is just to not eat anything really heavy 3 days before and you'll be fine..
