My husband is not in complete support either here,, I will be having gastric bi-pass on the 8th.

He is not opposing and even if he was very strong opinionated a couple of times, I have made my decition and he knows it. He also knows and agrees that as hard as I have honestly tried to loose this weight, even doing weight loss programs for over a year at the time, the weight goes off so slow, is very hard on me, and then at the end, it all comes back plus more, why I have chosen NOT to do any more weight loss programs, that is not for me,, if I am going to work so hard at something, I need the tool to help me accomplish, something that will reward me for all my hard work and effort, and this is it.

I tell you one thing, you lucky you have the insurance,, I have none and I am paying for this my self,, I saved up about 2/5 of the cost, the rest I took out a loan.

The dicition does not come easy for me. I have two young kids at home, 7 and 8, both autistic, there is the risk factor, as little as it it, still there, that I might have complications and not make it, but I might also die from a heart attack next month if I don't face the fact that I need this and I am doing it not only for me, but for my kids and my husband, what would he do if I die and he is left to deal with both of our kids? A couple years ago I asked him this question, his answer was, he could not do it and put both our kids up for adoption,, since, I been thinking about this surgery, I need to live for my kids, and for my self, and at my weight, I have no choice but to do this, this is my last resort and I will do it right.

Well that is me anyways,, I understand you wanting to live a good life, it is great you have such a good marriage and have had a good life together. Regardless of how he feels, sounds like you have made your mind about this, and at the end, you will be happier with your weight loss and, you will be surprise that he too will be happy, who knows, maybe after him seen your success he will follow after your footsteps

Best of luck.
