Default Do you have a minute to spare? RNY gastric bypass surgery!

Hello, my name is Brigid and I am a doctoral student at Capella University in Minneapolis, MN. I am majoring in Human Services and am in the process of conducting research on the hierarchical trait of self-esteem as related to pre- and post- Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery in morbidly obese Caucasian women. I hope to study 660 women who fit the following required criteria:

*Caucasian woman

* Must currently live in the United States for atleast 5 years

* Presently (pre-operative) are OR formally (post-operative) were obese OR morbidly obese

* Pre-operative Roux-en-Y gastric bypass surgery OR atleast 2 years post-operative Roux-en-y gastric bypass surgery

Due to the rising popularity of bariatric surgery, it is essential for scholars to study the surgical procedure from diverse viewpoints, including physiological, psychological, and financial aspects. Examining Roux-en-Y surgery, one of several forms of bariatric surgery, from multiple perspectives might enable scholars to define a more comprehensive picture of the effect the procedure has on an individual. When an individual undergoes bariatric surgery, multiple lifestyle changes will need to be conducted with, because, despite popular beliefs, baritric surgery is not merely a surgical weight loss procedure or a miracle cure for obesity.

If you are interested in learning about the study or are willing to participate by completing a 36-item survey, then please contact me at BRIGWILSON@hotmail.com. Thank you for your time, as I appreciate any assistance.

Brigid
