Question Anyone had Dr. Potts?

I finally got the call for my consultation visit after the seminar. I had the choice to see Dr. Potts on Monday or wait three full weeks to see Dr. Callery. After meeting Dr. C at the seminar I just fell in love with him, but I am so excited about just getting it done I took the earlier apt. with Dr. Potts.

Is there anyone out there who knows anything about him that would be willing to ease my anxieties?

Dr. Potts is wonderful as well, he just hasn't done quie as many of these as Callery. It took doc Callery a long time to choose a partner and Potts made it, if that tells ya anything.

Talking Dr. Potts

I was Dr. Potts very first (at least w/Dr. C's office) lap patient. He is extreamly wonderful. At my last check up he spent a lot of time going over the questions I had and answering everything. I can't say enough about the man. He gave me a new life. My scaring is VERY minimal. I had no complications and I healed quite quickly. I was a little nervous at first, but I figured if Dr. C trusted him enough to have him practicing, that was good enough for me. Besides, he is a very kind person and very attentive. Oh, I did have one complication, but it was not due to Dr. P. I am alergic to Morphine, and I didn't know it so I got very sick. I had never had morphine before, so there was no way we could have known. He was great when it came to figuring out what was making me sick. Once he changed my meds, I got better instantly. He is a life saver and I wouldn't have done it any different. I have all the confidence in the world in Dr. P.

You can e-mail me if you have any other questions.

I had Dr. Potts. I had my surgery on 4/16/04. He is an absolutely wonderful surgeon and I am so thankful that I had it done with him. He has a terrific bedside manner and is very skilled. I wouldn't change a thing!

Smile Regarding Dr. Potts

Dr. Callery did my surgery, but the very next day, Dr. Potts was doing rounds with him at the hospital. I have had every single follow-up (regularly scheduled and when I had a few minor complications) appointment with Dr. Potts. He is very attentive and seems like a very nice man. I feel totally comfortable with him. Even though I didn't have my actual surgery with him, I would trust him to do mine. As stated in some of the previous replys, if Dr. Callery chose him to practice medicine with, I'm sure he's a great surgeon. Hope this helps ease your mind a little bit.

Default big relief

I saw Dr. Potts yesterday and I feel SO much better! He spent such a long time with me and was willing to sit for as long as I needed with all my questions. He made me feel very compfortable.

Guess what? He said I was a good candidate for the lap. procedure! I was actually more excited about lap before. I wonder if open is safer?

Now I just have to get all these dumb tests scheduled. I'll keep you posted.

Arrow Awesome!

Vangie,

Glad it went so well!! I chose to have my surgery open...I felt more comfortable doing it that way but a lot of people have done lap too and had no problems!! Whatever you choose...it will be fine!
