Default Too Much Surffing!

New Friends at Thinner Times please help me I have done so much research, thought I was bookmarking appropriate places to return. But alas, I did not. I located recently a list of all types of Post Surgery products, available for purchase. I attended a seminar about Gastric Bypass on the 3rd of April, and its now looking like I may beable to have surgery by the middle of June.

Hello Linda,
Welcome! Keep pushing for your surgery date!! I am new too after surfing forever. As a teacher, I am a research freak. I have looked at medical journals, read books, go to local support groups, read all the crap on the internet both good and bad. So far, this web site seems the best resource because these people, me included, live the questions, issues, and problems (physical/mental), we face both pre/post-op. So post away…..

Oh I know what you mean about research, I am a nut about it, and have also looked for as much negative stuff as I could find, strangely enough there is very little out there (negative I mean) other than comments that appear to be nothing more than hearsay, for example (someone who knows someone who died). My husband and I are both having this surgery, have been approved and will be having Cardiology visits in May. I am 61, he is 64, and has had Heart Bypass Surgery a few years ago. We are both right at 100 lbs overweight. He spent twenty years in the Army so managed to keep his under control, until older. Of course it’s starting to cause us more and more problems all the time. At any rate, the point I was meaning to make in this email, is that he has the better education, Math degree with 3.97, but I am the one that wants to have information before I have this done. He just wants it done, and be on with his life and hopefully be ride of some of the health problems he has.
