Default Wow, it's starting to get real...

Well, come November 9th my life will be changing. I will be moving into a new apartment at the end of October (which is why I didn't get my surgery scheduled earlier. recouperating through a move would be heinous.) and going under the scapel on November 9th. I hope my nerves hold out that long.
Change is scary but change is good.
Reading this forum has helped me learn what I can expect so I thank you all for that.
Well that's my $0.02

Thumbs up Congrats

ABlake,

Congrats on your upcoming move and surgery date. You are in for the rollercoaster ride of a lifetime. Prepare yourself as much as possible in these last weeks before surgery. Exercise as much as you can and drink lots of water. You are going to do great.. you're in good hands..

Let us know how it goes.. my thoughts and prayers are with you for a safe and speedy recovery.

It feels a little weird saying welcome, because I just got here myself. Welcome anyway.

What I can tell you is that this is the best place to be. Here, there is support, understanding and a "whole lotta" caring people to help you through your process and feelings from beginning to end. I'll tell you as someone told me, you landed in the right place. Congratulations on your date.

Default Welcome!

Well...it must be exciting for you to have your surgery date. I hope you can get all of your moving done to your expectations before the surgery because you will not be able to do much afterwards but rest and get well. Congratulations on getting your date. You're one step closer to fulfilling one of your goals.

You have just found a bunch of great people who are here to support you. So, don't be shy and ask anything that is on your mind. We've all been there, done that and are in different stages in the process.

Welcome again!
