I cannot believe it. My insurance company called today and told me I was denied. What hurts so much is they glossed over all my medical problems and were very callus and curt by saying I didn't appear to have made enough visits to my doctor or they did not document enough visits showing supervised weightloss. What puzzles me is I have tons of documentation showing attempts at going through many weightloss programs and even being supervised by my primary care and neurologist. Go figure.

Confused.

Is Dr. C your doctor? They can help you figure out what this insurance company is really looking for.

I'm so sorry - this sucks. Did they give you the option of going on the supervised 6 month sucky diet, then they would approve?

Appeal it. I had to fight and I had over 5 years worth of documentation.

Yes Dr.C is my Dr. I suppose I will appeal. I have lots of documentation and a medical condition. They just make you feel so unimportant.

WOW, so sorry for the set back. I know some insurance companies require the documentation in consecutive months?? if that helps any? I would definately fight it. I will say a prayer for you!

I was denied the first go around too. My PCP resubmitted all the documents and a few extra I found and I was approved the 2nd time.

We are in the same boat my friend!
Same thing happened to me yesterday.
We have to just hang our heads high and move onto the appeal process!

I am so sorry to hear about your denial-- I am waiting to hear about my approval also --- makes me nervous !!!! Go get um -- and try again !!! Best of Luck to you.......

So So Sorry. Do Not Give Up!! You will get this. And remember, your value does not come from a insurance claims department. You are important, so fight for whats right.
