Finally......The Psych Eval is posted - ThinnerTimes

Hi All,
The waiting was killing me. My psych eval is in. Sigh.
I was going bonkers. Now I am ready to start the real nervousness.
Am I going to get approved. I have a co-morbid condition, so I think I am good. I have done everthing they ask. I am sitting tight. It looks as though they only received the psych eval 3/3/06, so I am guessing I have another 2 weeks before I hear anything????

Thanks to all of you for the support. I hope I get to meet some of you face to face. This is such a warm and very strong community of people. I am so amazed how everyone comes together. It's fabulous.

I was going to post a psych eval question but since you started this thread I will ask you. My psych eval is scheduled for 3/8. What types of questions were you asked? How long did your eval take? Last question..How did you feel after the eval?

HI Sandy,
The Psych Eval was good. I think they just want to make sure you are a stable enough person with not a whole lot of issues going on while trying to take on the undertaking of a major life change as well. Say like a person who is dealing with some unresolved matters and cannot be committed or focused on the entire life change.

I felt the she probed into my history and wanted to make sure that I understood why I felt the way I do about my weight and why I feel the way I do when others comment about my weight. We explored my issues with my weight, and my medical problems that my weight has contributed to. We touched on many of the things that would / could improve if I had the 'jump start" to make the changes I know I need to make in my life about my weight. These are things that I feel GP would help me get going with.

I felt wonderful after my visit. I feel that I had been heard and had been given some insight as to another way of looking at things. I tend to be very sensitive and wear my heart on my sleeve, so as you can imagine my feelings are hurt easily. I was given insight to understand and look at comments made to from a different angle and look at these people as different rather than difficult people.
