Default Drum roll...surgery!

Hey ya'll,
Well, my surgery's day after tomorrow. I finally tied up all my school stuff that needed taken care of before missing next week. I've only been on clear liquids since last night and I am about to die! I'm also thinking of bannning green jello from being manufactured, because that stuff is GROSS, and the only color the surgeon said i can have for some reason. I feel bad complaining, two days on clear liquids isn't anything compared to what some of you have gone through, but I'm hungry!
Yesterday I was nervous, but today I'm, like, bring on the pouch! My big stomach will NEVER feel full with liquids! Anyway, aside from my complaining, I wanted to say congrats to everybody else who's going this and next week and good luck! I can't say I'm not scared, but it's not really about surgery, just about the pending unknown beyond surgery. My surgery's the first one on Friday, so THAT'S good. Thanks for all your support and I'll post when I get back!

Christy

Soon you will be able to join the OTHER SIDE!!!! HA!

Chin up...it's only a bit longer.....

I will be sending out 'uneventful surgery' vibes your way!!! Get well soon and get back to let us know how it went!!

Go get em Christy. It is hard being on a liquid diet but it will be so worth it once you reach the losing side. Do you have a name picked out yet?

"Yesterday I was nervous, but today I'm, like, bring on the pouch!"
Christy, that is the funniest thing I've ever read, I love it!! You are soooo ready for this and you're going to do great!

"My big stomach will NEVER feel full with liquids! Anyway, aside from my complaining, I wanted to say congrats to everybody else who's going this and next week and good luck!"
It is so hard to be on a liquid diet especially before surgery and after surgery it's hard too but at least you don't feel stomach hunger only head hunger and while they both suck at least your stomach won't hurt for food.

"I can't say I'm not scared, but it's not really about surgery, just about the pending unknown beyond surgery. My surgery's the first one on Friday, so THAT'S good. Thanks for all your support and I'll post when I get back!"
I was first one too and I think that's a good thing--cause you have the rest of the day to just recover and rest. Congrats on your surgery, I wish you nothing but the best!

Thanks guys!
I will take all your "uneventful surgery" vibes and run with them! well...walk, ya'll know how it is. AND since my bitter green jello post I have found blue popsicles, so all good. The good thing about the liquid diet is that as I'm typing I'm sure i'm burning calories from some untouched fat cell region, ha. I am going to stop stalking my computer and go wash sheets... I also need to clean out my car, b/c surgery will give me an excuse for further procrastination, but it prolly won't happen. I DID return my library books, so 2 outta 3 isn't bad! These are things you have to take care of--the naggers. While I'm sitting in blissful pain crying to fried green tomatoes for the 8th time, I'd like to feel guilt-free. My popsicle's melting... Later

Default Surgery Tomorrow

Surgery tomorrow. I have a question. I'm on the liquids today and I feel weak, light headed and shakey from not eating. Will I also have these feelings the first week or two after surgery being on liquids ?
