Default Attended WLS Seminar and feel good...

Last night (Valentines Day), I attended a WL Seminar at my Medical Group's Hospital. It was good because I was able to talk to the bariatric coordinator who answered alot of my questions. I told her I was a few pounds from 40 bmi and she said not to worry about that, and that I was close enough and that it should not be a problem with my PCP. She also told me that the surgeon is contrated with my Medical Group (which I knew), and that I should just be direct with my PCP and tell him I would like a referral for GBS with the surgeon. She told me she didn't think it should be a problem since I qualified. It was very good to hear and now I'm just counting the days, hours until I meet with the PCP (on the first day my insurance starts) on March 1st.
I am just going buggy with the waiting!!!

It was also very good for my husband to attend with me last night because he said he liked the doctor and he was able to get alot of questions answered. I think it also helped that the bariatric coordinator was my age and had had the same amount of weight to lose before she had her surgery 3 years ago. My husband has been breaking through his denial about my problem and I started to see him turn the corner about understanding that I need to do this and others see that I need to do this.

I'm feeling good, I'm just waiting out the next 13 days....Oy!
