I did it too. I was even going through my clothes and sorting out things. Funny part is that its something that I did, but how am I supposed to know what will fit in a few months...I thinks its very normal, did the same thing when I was pregnant. Just think how happy you will feel when you get home from surgery and won't have to do much...just take care of yourself.

I love organizing stuff - its the conrol freak nature in me. Contact me after surgery and I'll hook y'all up - you have to be prepared to throw anything away/donate that you haven't used, looked at, thought about in a year besides clothes you currently fit into or are smaller than you are right now

Ok..I totally get the OCD cleaning and organizing thing!! I have three kids and messy hubbie, who make being a SAHM a daily test of patience! HOWEVER, can someone please tell me how to DUST??? For all that I MUST have everything in exactly the correct spot before I can sleep at night....I CAN'T SEEM TO LIFT A RAG TO DUST MY HOUSE? I must have some Dusting adversion or something?

Whit, the OCD cleaning thing, is already in your personality...your a planner and your already preparing for what you want things to be like when you get home from this. You don't want to do it during Spring cleaning, so you are getting a JUMP on it!! GO FOR IT!! I do it all the time. I GUT rooms in my house on a weekly basis...and with a small house so crowded, it's probably needed!!

Have fun getting things in order!!

Thanks, Zen - I am glad I am in such good company. Hey...for dusting (which I hate too - thank God for the housekeepers!), try the Swiffer dusters. You buy the box of the puffy things, attach to the wand that is included, and run it over your furniture and around things - it does a great job, abd you toss thepuffy thing when you're done. It is a lifesaver - I LOVE Swiffer!!

I'm usually a neat freak too. I haven't gotten the nesting thing though. I'm finding it hard to concentrate. I'll start one project and before I can finish I'm doing something else.

Smile New kid on the block

Hello everyone from the southeast. I am new to this however I have been reading all your postings and they are encouraging. My op date is also March 7th. This is a really big decision so I am a little nervous but at this point as they have said in a movie "Dead man walking". I am at 315lbs at 5 foot so I don't just walk, I think I roll down the hall. Ha Ha. I work with several other people that have had this surgery and as one put it so well, My worst day after the surgery is still better than my best day before the surgery. Copergirl good luck. I will be having mine at the Medical University of South Carolina by an Irish surgeon who has been doing this since 1992 and is a real sweetheart.Talk with "Ya all" later Mollie

Default Totally Normal

Completely and totally normal. I've "nested" three times in my life. During my two pregnancies and before this surgery! Keep it up, you'll feel so much better and prepared for surgery!
