I'm so glad to hear Jen came thru everything ok. We all remember those first couple of days! Not fun. Give her my best wishes and she (and you and Jenniemae) will be in my prayers.

Jim,
I am so happy to hear everything went well and that Jennifer will get to spend time with you and Jenniemae. She is in great hands and very lucky to have supportive parents like you two. Best of luck to Jennifer.

I might be able to go - depends on when... can a PRE op do a visit? (Heh, heh, won't be one of them much longer!)

Phil
Phil,
In my humble and honest opinion I feel as if Pre-Ops SHOULD be required to visit new post ops in the hospital. I know for myself personally, and I believe after visiting Crystyll Kim also felt the same.. that it was a very comforting thing to do. I know it put my mind at ease visiting so many pre-ops prior to surgery.. watching Mindy walking around like it was nobody's business and Jeanmarie and Jeannie too it made me feel so much better about my decision. I know a lot of pre-ops visited me. As a matter of fact Karen and Tami came in and saw me in Recovery after my second surgery.. It may not have been Karen but I thought it was.. I was just awakened by Dr. C before they came in. It was nice though we shared some laughs and had a good time.
Anyway I think if you can make it up there before your surgery.. you should definitely do it. Besides I can never express how greatful I was for having so many visitors .. everyone was so nice to come out of their way to see me and Grayce called me several times to check on me but couldn't come because she had an open wound but she did call and I felt so good knowing that so many people cared and since I was awake and bored most of the time it was nice.
So go my friend.. go go go.. and have fun..
