Jan:
I'm so glad your husband did a little digging at work and that it's easy to get you reinstated. I was worried when you were thinking about going ahead with this and hoping for the best. I was calling my insurance company earlier today, and while I was on the "muzak hold", they had a statement that said something to the effect that even if I'm preapprove, my insurance needs to be effective on the date of service. So, I'm glad this is a somewhat easy fix. I'd hate for you to go through the surgery and find out, after all you've gone through, that you weren't covered, and everyone wanted their $$$$$ out of your pocket.

29th Wedding Anniversary - that's fantastic. Let's see - I know that 25th is the silver anniversary, I guess 29th is the "gastric bypass" anniversary! Good look, keep us updated - you're in good company!

Default Gastric Bypass Anniversary

Now that's something to remember for as anniversary isn't it? Gastric Bypass indeed! My husband is so looking forward to the return of his bride...size wise that is....he can hardly wait.

Thanks for the smile.

Much love,
Jan

Oh the emotional roller coaster! You poor thing! Glad all is well and you are on your way. I had a wild ride and thought I might have to pay for all of my surgery after the fact. It wasn't suppose to be a covered benefit after 1-1-05 and I got an approval letter dated 1-2-05 that was good for 90 days. The administrator of benefits for my company made a $40,000 + error on my behalf. They tried to deny coverage until I faxed them the letter and the Dr. faxed him his copy. That was the end of it thankful since my pockets are pretty empty too!

Oh praise God, Jan!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I am so happy for you that things are going to work out!! What a horrible glich!! I deal with bennies at work, and had the spuse of an ex employee call to say that his prescription was declined at the pharmacy (he is a Cobra beneficiary). I called BC,and he was in the system, then I called his pharmacy only to find that THEY had made a data input error classifying this man as a child!! One stupid mistalk can cause a lot of headaches, and I am happy that your headache will be going away

Default Me Too!!!

Thanks guys,

I'm glad there is a resolution to this too. But, since my husband is to fax this needed paperwork in on Monday, I suppose I will still need to call before the close of business on Wednesday to see if I'm covered adn that gives me cause to worry. I sure would hate to have to sell my house to pay for this down the road.

Much love and hugs to all of you,
Jan
