Website says file has gone to Dictation? - ThinnerTimes

So my file finally has gone to dictation. What does that mean?

I was under the impression that they had already sent it to the insurance company for approval...Hummmm

Also, can anyone who had Dr. C or Dr. Potts tell me what they did for the essay? I paid someone to write all my essays in highschool & college, so I have no idea what to write.

The essay is basically where you tell the doctor/insurance company why you want the surgery, what you've done in your life to lose weight, why you gained it back and what you expect to occur in your life as a result of the surgery. They want to see that you're realistic -- not going to be the next George Clooney/Brad Pitt, and that you've thought about what will change in your life after surgery.

My file was in dictation for a week, and was passed along to the insurance company on Monday. It was updated promptly on the patient login website (it said "sent to insurance for authorization". I'd wait for a week, then give a call to see what the holdup is.
