Default Surgery tomorrow !! Newbie

Good morning, all. I'm a newbie here but have been browsing your board for awhile. My surgery is tomorrow and I can't believe it! I've been working toward this for the last year! I've been doing pretty good on the "nerves" end but they are starting to get to me BIGTIME today. Just need to get through today and tomorrow.

Well I guess, that's about all I wanted to say. Just wanted to introduce myself and hoped to get some support for the nerves. *L*

Good luck to you tomorrow. You'll do just fine. Don't panic, the doctors wouldn't have accepted you if there were any risks. Relax and enjoy today, tomorrow is a new Birthday for you!!

The first few days you'll be a little bit uncomfortable, but think of the new you and how you'll look this summer. I'll say some prayers for you and your surgical team tonite and tomorrow am.

Let us know how you do!!

Default Thank you, Singman!

Thank you for the welcome, the words of support and the prayers. They are all very much appreciated. I'm relaxing with my family today and taking ALOT of deep breathes.

I have total faith in the surgery team and my Dr. I'm an RN in the hospital that I'm having the surgery in and I have seen him "growup" from Internship to head of our Bariatric Program over the years. I guess the nerves are coming mostly from knowing "too much". *L*...I've taken care of Gastric Bypass patients in the ICU when there have been some serious complications.

Thanks again, I know I will be feeling your prayers.

Post Be strong

Congrats on your re-birth tomarrow. Sweety it is normal to have your nerves everywhere the day before. Hopefully you will be so tired on your surgery date there will be no worries. If you can go out and do somethings for your self, like get your toes done or some of those back massages in the mall. I am sure you will be fine once you are there, banded with your hospital gown on ready to be wheeled back. Smile you are almost to the losing side.
