Smile The weight (wait) begins...

All my tests are done!!!
Now all I get to do is wait for the insurance to approve me!
How long does it usually take for Blue Cross/Blue Shield to approve people? Does anyone know?
Also, Dr. C has me on a liquid diet. I have cheated several times, but have kept my calories around 1000/day.

Can't wait for my new life to begin!

Dave

Dave I am not sure how Dr. C liquid diet works but I am guessing you are suppose to keep it liquid. I would follow his instructions, you would want your surgery to be re-scheduled. I hope your insurance approval goes by fast so you can join us on the losing side.

Blue Cross Fed is so easy it is unbelievable. In fact they do not even preapprove. If you meet the requirements they pay!

Geez Whitney,

You're lucky. I have the same insurance as you and today makes one week that I've been waiting. Maybe I'll hear something in the next couple of days.

I have Blue Shield PPO (CA) and I was approved within one week. Of course, I also called almost every day to check on progress. Don't wait for them to come to you; find out what's going on!

Dave, Congratulations. Just remember, Dr C does not put everyone on only liquid....there must be a reason. Don't go against his wishes. Make it easy on yourself AFTER surgery.....do what the BOSS tells you! hee hee And ps.....I haven't met you....hope you join us at support group meetings!

I want to know when you cheat, what your eating n stuff. It takes like a week to find out, then you can count on surgery to be scheduled eithin 2-3 weeks after that, you had better make sure you have no food in that 'ol belly of yours come surgery day.
