Question Bring to the Hospital?

Hey Everyone,

I know this subject has come up quite a bit, but I'm having trouble finding the previous threads. Here's my list of things I'm packing for the hospital - any other suggestions?

chapstick
LOOSE comfy pj's
good book to read
toothbrush
game to play
sippy cup

Thanks in advance!

I'd pass on the sippy cup and the PJ's. Reallly.....the IV is in your arm and you cannot take off your top without losing the IV. Just stick with the hospital gowns. It is only 2-3 days anyway!

Chapstick and more chapstick. Didn't really need anything much. I was too tired to read and when it was time to be awake..that meant walking the halls with my podmates Sandi, Barb, and Tina. Sandi kept me going...I love her dearly and the best thing in the whole world was having her in the room right next to me.

My hubby brought the protable dvd player in with some movies and he watched them while I dozed off into la la land.

Oh, I almost forgot that I brought slippers and didn't use them until I left. They gave me those peds..non-slip socks to walk around the halls.

Wear loose clothes that you can wear home and you should be all set. (I wore a baggy men's T-shirt and some drawstring yoga pants) I still have them and look at them...I never want to forget where I came from.

Bring a pillow in the car to place on your stomach in between your seat belt.

Good luck.

I'm packing pretty much the same, plus iPod - have created playlists for all potential eventualities; pain distraction, get up and walk, boredom, anxiety, and discharge day..lol.
