Hello everyone I just want to let you guys know that on Wednesday is my pre op appt any suggestions. My surgery date is very close. My surgery is on the 20th of this month. Does any body know what goes on in the pre op appt.

Hey Alma, I was wondering the same thing. Is your doctor, Dr. Callery? I was told I need to take the white binder with me. But I was also wondering what goes on at the pre-op and where I have to go (I'm assuming the Dr.'s office first). LOL

kinda forgot to ask...with all the

excitement

of getting a date and all.

My Dr. is Dr. Potts and yes I think it's in the Dr.s office.

I don't have the same dr as you but at mine we had our first nuitrition class, talked about the time we would be in the hospital, and we got our orders for the hospital. Then we had an appt with the hospital where we went over and registered then had chest xray, pre surgery blood work and an ekg. It was an all day thing, BUT when we were checked in the morning of the surgery it was just walking and lay down.
