Hi everyone, i am new at this, i have been reading all the great things people have been posting and have learned alot!!! i am so excited/nervous, i hope that my insurance does not take to long. i am told that my ins. takes aprox 2 weeks. friday was day one and counting. i am wondering about when we take our meds after surgery do they make you sick? some of what i take needs to be on a full stomach.

I remember waiting for my approval...ahhhh it drove me nuts. I am not patient by any means. I called my insurance 3 days after the paperwork was submitted and they already had approved my surgery

As far as meds go, I haven't had a problem taking my pills. I take them 15-20 min after I eat and I'm fine.

Hang in there, it'll be over before you know it

Default Bettina,

I hope you hear a positive answer from your insurance company and soon. I think waiting is the hardest part! I would call your insurance company by the end of next week. I know of so many people that have called themselves and found out before the dr.'s office that they were approved or not. So, don't be shy about calling them.

Meds = you'll need to take actigall (antacid you must take for two months post op) on a full stomach too. I too take it about 30 to 45 min. after eating.

Keep us posted on your progress!

Thumbs up Good Luck

Bettina:

Once your paperwork is submitted, the process is usually really fast. I was approved six days after my paperwork was submitted and my surgery was scheduled ten days later. Good luck with your approval!

As far as medications, I am off all medications except one-half of one pill. I have no problems taking medications at all. I have a weird sensitivity to Tylenol for some reason, but everything else is okay.

Keep us updated on your progress.
