Default The Countdown Begins

I just took my first of two bottles of phospho soda, and no matter what you take it with it's nasty. Another one at 12:30pm--eeeeeew!!!! Surgery is Monday at 7:30am.

Had my last meal of chinese last night, and for two days it's liquids only. I can do it. I choose to, I don't have to!!

I'm more of a shadow lurker here and read the posts, but I've learned a lot in the last few weeks.

Am I afraid, YES!! Will I get over it, YES!! Is it all worth it, YES!! Am I anxious for the new me to arrive, YES-YES-YES!!!!!!!!!!!!!

My wife was skeptical at first, but has become my biggest supporter. I asked her this week how she felt about the surgery and she wants me to have it.

I sing barbershop and my wife misses it probably as much as I do. Singing "Let Me Call You Sweetheart" and then being told it was hoaky!! Now she really misses those moments!! With the weight off it should be easier to stand, and do all the fun barbershop choreography that enhance the songs.

Believe it or not but you have to be in great shape in order to sing and move at the same time.

Thanks Everybody!!!! :-)

I so agree that you have to be in great shape to dance and sing at the same time, it is a lot of work. I think you will do great on Monday. You seems to have a lot of spirit about this and the best part of it all you have your wife cheering you. I sure you will be back on stage doing what it is you love. See you on the losing side.

Thanks for all the support. I'm from Saint Paul and my surgery will be done at Regions Hospital by Dr Ikramuddin. He is one of the top two bariatric surgeons at the U of M so I'm in good hands. :-)

The Fleet phospho soda (ginger-lemon flavor) cleans you out. After two doses they can't accuse me of being full of it!! Be glad you don't have to take it!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good luck to you, singman - you will be in my prayers! When you are up to it, you ought to record some of your singing and post the file here so we can hear you too!!
