Default Have a Question
I went to the nutrition group yesterday and Kelly from Dr. Potts office said they did not want you to gain any weight. So my question is, what if you gain 5 or 10 pounds will you still have the surgery or will they reschedule until you loose those 5 or 10 pounds my Dr. is Dr. Potts.

Hi, I was there too! I thought I heard her say that if you gained 15+ pounds they would not let you have the surgery. So I am assuming that 5 or 10lb gain is not going to keep you from having the surgery. Do you have a date already? I have to check my weight too...I haven't weighed myself since my consult and I think I've gained a few.

I gained 10 pounds before surgery and got the stink eye..... thats about it. Another friend I know gained 20 and surgery went on as scheduled..... I dont recommend it~ just sharing stuff I know......

Alma,
They can be pretty strict about it. Kelly told me not to gain any weight, and said if I gained more than 4 lbs they would cancel. Scared me silly!

I am so envious. I'm at the gym every day, eating Nutrisystem and still can't get these damn pounds off. Oh - if only I had to stay the same! AND if I gain any of my 10% back before surgery, they boot me till I lose it again.

I know it isn't your fault, but I am SO JEALOUS!!


At this rate, I think I am going to be the most in shape 260 pound, 5'2" person in the world!
