Medicare approved surgery?? - ThinnerTimes

Hi all...my first time posting but I've been lurking for several months!

I've been through all the pre-appt's and meeting with my surgeon on Jan. 11 to get the final verdict!

I went through all my tests with a breeze...or so I was told...but like many others I'm worried about insurance approval.

I'm on disability with medicare insurance and wondering if anyone else out there has gone through medicare before?!

Keeping my fingers crossed and trying to think positive but we all know how that goes!

Hi Kathy - welcome to the forum...I am glad you are here as the support and encouragement is amazing. Iam not well versed with Medicare, so cannot helpyou, but you can look at your contract to see what they cover and what they consider exclusions. I meet with my surgeon on January 12th for my date and final verdicts, too, so we are in the same boat, not including insurance

Kathy welcome to the group. I don't know to much about medicare but the insurance process is a very stressful one. If you have followed all the requirements and guidelines you should be fine. I hope all works out in your favor. Keep us posted.

Medicare is paying for my surgery ... no problem. (I'm hoping!) My surgeon has not HAD trouble with Medicare paying, so I'm not anticipating any problems, either.
